Three Identified and Charged in Gwinnett County Burglary Spree
Gwinnett County Police detectives have charged three suspects in connection with a residential burglary that occurred earlier this month. On May 3, the victim reported the burglary after returning home to find her residence had been unlawfully entered while she was away. The perpetrators, identified as Derrick Martin (38, Ellenwood), Marion King (24, Stockbridge), and Jhaniah Lanier (24, Lithonia), allegedly arrived at the victim’s house with a U-Haul truck and proceeded to steal various items including furniture, shoes, a PlayStation 5, and a 2008 Toyota Solara, which remains unrecovered.
The trio has been charged with burglary in the first degree and theft by taking a motor vehicle. An additional female suspect remains unidentified. Detectives suspect the group may have been involved in similar burglaries in Dunwoody and Dekalb. Currently, the suspects are not in custody, and their whereabouts are unknown.
Authorities are also investigating the possible involvement of a black BMW and a white Chrysler 300, captured on Flock cameras traveling together near other burglary locations.
