Four Arrested in Savannah on Child Sex Trafficking Case

On May 23, 2024 at approximately 6 am, the Savannah Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, along with Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Chatham County Police Department, and Chatham County Sheriff’s Office SWAT executed arrests and search warrants in Savannah, Thunderbolt, and Jessup, GA in reference to an ongoing Human Trafficking which started in 2021.  

The Savannah Police Special Victims Unit investigation identified a 15-year-old victim who we believed was being trafficked by Michael Jones around that time. During the course of the investigation, another victim was identified, along with other suspects in this case.  

Michael Jones, Lexsy Headrick, Rylan Bercovitz, and Isabelle Curl were indicted by the Chatham County Grand Jury on May 15, 2024. 

All four subjects were served with their arrest warrants on the morning of May 23, 2024. The following suspects were arrested and charged with: 

  • Michael Jones: Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude x2, Kidnapping x2, Aggravated Assault x2, Child Pornography (Production and Distribution), and False Statements. 
  • Lexsy Headrick: Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude x2, Kidnapping x2, Aggravated Assault x2, and Child Pornography (Production and Distribution). 
  • Rylan Bercovitz: Kidnapping x2, Aggravated Assault x2. 
  • Isabelle Curl: Kidnapping x2, Aggravated Assault x2. 

Type of Incident: Sex Trafficking / Kidnapping / Aggravated Assault / Child Pornography / Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes
