Clayton County Police Issues Mattie’s Call for Missing Teen

Clayton County Police have issued a MATTIE’S CALL BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for 13-year-old Jalen Vaughn, who was reported missing on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

According to authorities, the incident was reported at approximately 5:58 PM local time when officers responded to a residence on the 300 block of River Chase Dr in Jonesboro, GA. The report came from Jalen’s mother, Shameka Vaughn, who stated that she had sent one of her children to get Jalen from his bedroom on the morning of Wednesday, May 29, only to find that he was not there.

Shameka Vaughn believes that Jalen may have left the residence through his bedroom window but could not provide any specific clothing description or direction of travel. She emphasized that Jalen does not have a history of running away and does not have any medical or mental conditions.

Jalen’s information has been entered into the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC).
