Bibb County Gang Unit Arrests Mercer University Drive Shooting Suspect

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit investigators executed a search warrant at a Somerset Drive residence, resulting in the arrest of a suspect connected to a recent shooting near Mercer University Drive.

The investigation led to the identification of the suspect, but additional evidence was required. Upon searching the suspect’s home, investigators discovered a firearm and spent shell casings, which will undergo examination for correlation with evidence from the shooting scene.

The male suspect was taken into custody and is charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit provided assistance in the arrest.
