Shots Fired in Atlanta: One Injured in Suspected Drive-By

On May 28, 2024, at approximately 12:41 a.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of shots fired at 2640 MLK Jr. Drive SW. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims who reported being shot at by a suspect in a white truck. Fortunately, none of the victims were injured.

Police units canvassed the area and located the suspect vehicle at 2595 MLK Jr. Drive SW. The white truck had several gunshot defects, and the driver had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Grady EMS arrived on the scene and transported the injured driver to the hospital for treatment.

It is currently unconfirmed who was shooting at the driver of the white truck. Aggravated Assault investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
