Bibb County Deputies Apprehend Armed Felon After Pursuit Ends in Collision

Members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (S.R.T.), Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) Unit, and Gang Unit successfully apprehended an armed and wanted felon following a pursuit that concluded in a vehicle collision.

The male suspect, who was sought on active warrants in Macon-Bibb County and a neighboring jurisdiction, attempted to flee the scene of the accident but was swiftly subdued by a deputy using a taser. He was subsequently taken into custody.

During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, deputies uncovered a stolen firearm. Shockingly, the vehicle also contained passengers, including two small children and their mother. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) evaluated the children and their mother at the scene, confirming their well-being before releasing them.

The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. He now faces multiple new charges in addition to those on his existing warrants.
