Warner Robins Home Invasion: Ski Mask-Clad Suspects Shoot Resident

On May 21, 2024, at approximately 2:14 am, Warner Robins Police Officers responded to a distress call at 403 Jackie Blvd regarding a shooting incident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 32-year-old Jesus Briseno-Vargas inside his residence, having sustained a gunshot wound to his forearm. Briseno-Vargas recounted to authorities that he and 32-year-old Yessica Casas-Castillo were startled awake by a loud crashing noise emanating from their front door.

Two armed suspects barged into their bedroom, demanding money. The suspects where black males, described as young, tall, skinny and wearing ski masks. The victims reported that several items were stolen from their home during the invasion. Before fleeing, one of the assailants shot Briseno-Vargas in the forearm.

Briseno-Vargas was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Four children live in the home, but were unharmed.

Detective Smith and Detective Garcia from the Criminal Investigations Division were deployed to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Their findings revealed that the suspects had attempted to force entry into two other residences within the same block, at 404 and 406 Jackie Blvd. Fortunately, their efforts were thwarted on both occasions.

The Warner Robins Police Department has launched an active investigation into this alarming incident. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
