Gwinnett Police Apprehend 5 Chicago Suspects in Multi-State Crime Bust
On April 4, officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department’s Central Precinct, assisted by the Aviation Unit and K9 Unit, made a significant breakthrough in a case involving a stolen vehicle, a stolen firearm, and narcotics. Acting on intelligence, law enforcement located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of 1625 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth and detained five suspects for questioning.
Following interviews, investigators uncovered that the suspects had traveled from Chicago, making stops in multiple states before reaching metro Atlanta. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a stolen firearm and various narcotics.
The apprehended individuals were identified as Aniyah Falon Barber (23, Chicago), Laroy Allen-Burse (33, Atlanta), Marquise T Ellison (27, Chicago), Lamont William Hall JR (32, Chicago), and Dominique Bell (37, Indiana). Each faces charges including Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Lamont William Hall JR had outstanding warrants from another jurisdiction.
All suspects were taken into custody without resistance and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. Information regarding the case has been shared with other law enforcement agencies, indicating the possibility of further charges from other jurisdictions.
