Unknown Assailant Fires into Vehicle Wounding Passenger in Lakewood Heights Area
On May 8th, 2024, at approximately 12:00 am, law enforcement officers were dispatched to 1805 Jonesboro Rd in the Lakewood Heights area following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds.
The victim was attended to by Grady EMS and transported to the hospital for medical care.
Initial findings suggest that the victim was seated in the passenger’s seat of a vehicle when an unidentified assailant, believed to be on foot and outside of the vehicle, opened fire.
