Man Wounded After Hearing Gunfire in Glenwood Park Area

On May 4, 2024, at approximately 4:47 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 6 officers responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound arriving at Grady Hospital by private vehicle.

Upon arriving at the hospital, officers located a 42-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in the area of 860 Glenwood Ave. SE when he heard gunfire and subsequently sustained his injury. Investigators responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
