Teen Killed in Macon Planet Fitness Parking Lot

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 17-year-old male following a shooting incident early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 2:00 am on April 27th in the lower parking lot of Planet Fitness located at the 100 block of Tom Hill Sr. Blvd.

Deputies responded to reports of a large fight at the location and were informed en route that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified as Sha’quvas Dean, suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Dean was transported to the hospital by ambulance but was later pronounced deceased by Coroner Ronnie Miley. The next of kin has been notified.
