Annual Family Fun Day Promotes Health Awareness in Fulton County
Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. is set to host the 9th Annual Family Fun Day, a free event aimed at promoting public health awareness while offering fun activities for families. Scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will take place at the South Fulton Service Center, located at 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, South Fulton, GA 30349.
The event promises an array of activities including sports, storytelling, face painting, line dancing, and more. Attendees can look forward to live appearances by special guests and the Dope MC Competition. Complimentary food and shaved ice drinks will be available, though limited supplies necessitate RSVP from participants. Additionally, Fulton Fresh will distribute fresh produce to attendees.
Commissioner Arrington emphasized the importance of equipping families with resources for healthy living. “Providing the resources families need to maintain healthy lifestyles is vital,” he stated. “This event combines entertainment with education to ensure that all residents have a roadmap on how to be healthy.”
Family Fun Day will focus on promoting healthy living through recreational activities, health education, screenings, and the distribution of fresh produce. Attendees can also enjoy local performances and family-friendly activities such as putt-putt, bumper cars, bowling, and basketball.
