Bibb County Deputies Arrest Suspect After Vehicle Pursuit and Assault on Officers

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested a suspect involved in a vehicle pursuit that led to an assault on Law Enforcement Officers. The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon on Broadway.

On April 24, 2024, at 1:42 p.m., an Investigator spotted two wanted individuals in a white GMC Denali traveling north on Broadway. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused to comply, initiating a brief pursuit. During the chase, the driver deliberately rammed two deputies’ patrol vehicles. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The driver was identified as 34-year-old Dennis Duane Coley II of Macon, wanted in Bibb County for Felony Theft by Taking and Second-Degree Criminal Damage to Property. The passenger, 36-year-old Heather Alaina Keene of Macon, was also wanted for similar charges including Felony Theft by Taking, Second-Degree Criminal Damage to Property, and Battery.

Both suspects were apprehended on Eisenhower Parkway immediately following the pursuit. They were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where their warrants were served. Dennis Duane Coley II faces charges of Driving on a Suspended License, Felony Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement Officers, and Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer. As of now, neither Coley nor Keene have been granted bond.
