Newton County Deputies Respond to Reported Armed Juveniles, Uncover Domestic Dispute
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, two individuals dialed 911 to alert authorities about a group of juveniles reportedly carrying handguns in the Ellington neighborhood. Responding swiftly, six deputy sheriffs arrived at the scene to investigate. While no contact was made with juveniles carrying handguns, the deputies’ proactive patrol led to the discovery of an ongoing domestic dispute.
During their inquiries, a neighbor came forward and provided the deputy sheriffs with surveillance footage from a Ring camera device. The investigation into the matter remains ongoing at this time.
