Shots Fired at Cordele Business, One Injured

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at around 1:15 AM, Cordele Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Party Shop, located in the 200 block of West 24th. Upon arrival, officers were informed by witnesses that the shooter(s) had already left the scene. A vehicle at the location was found with bullet damage, but no occupants were present.
Shortly after, 911 Dispatchers notified officers of a possible gunshot victim seeking treatment at Crisp Regional Hospital. The victim, identified as a 30-year-old Cordele resident, had sustained a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound to the foot while attempting to flee the area.
