Two Aggravated Assault Incidents Reported Saturday Night in Atlanta

On April 20, 2024, Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers were dispatched to 906 Sims St SW around 11:45 p.m. following reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found a 20-year-old female victim with a gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to the hospital by EMS and is reported to be in stable condition. In a separate incident on the same night, Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers responded to 248 Trinity Ave SW at approximately 10:34 p.m. after receiving reports of another person shot. Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a 47-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. He was also transported to the hospital by EMS in stable condition. Initial findings suggest that the male victim was shot during a robbery. Investigators are actively pursuing leads to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
