Security Personnel Shoot Man in South Downtown Atlanta Trespassing Incident

In the early hours of April 21, 2024, at approximately 1:51 am, Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers were dispatched to 255 Trinity Ave SW in the South Downtown area following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound.

Investigators were called to the scene to piece together what had happened. Initial findings indicate that the suspect had been asked to leave the location but later returned armed and fired shots into the building. Security personnel at the site responded by returning fire, ultimately hitting the suspect.

The wounded suspect was taken to the hospital in stable condition and subsequently placed under arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing.
