Shooting in Southwest Atlanta Now a Homicide Investigation After Victim Dies at Hospital

On April 15, 2024, Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to a report of multiple persons shot near 2006 Briar Ridge Way SW in southwest Atlanta.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. The first victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition by ambulance but later died from their injuries. The second and third victims were also taken to the hospital by ambulance, alert, conscious, and breathing.

Investigators from the Homicide Unit are investigating the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
