Victim Wounded at Bus Stop in West Atlanta Shooting

On April 14, 2024, at approximately 11:35 am, Atlanta Police officers responded to 320 Fairburn Rd SW in West Atlanta after receiving reports of a male being shot. Upon reaching the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Despite his injury, the victim was alert, conscious, and breathing.

Grady EMS arrived at the location and transported the wounded male to the hospital for medical attention. Initial investigations suggest that the victim was targeted while waiting at a bus stop. The assailants, reportedly traveling in a blue vehicle, approached the victim and opened fire.

Authorities believe that the victim and the perpetrator(s) are acquainted with each other. Investigators are actively piecing together the circumstances leading to the shooting. As of now, the investigation remains ongoing.
