Early Morning Shooting Leaves Man Injured in Southwest Atlanta
On April 12, 2024, at approximately 1:00 am, Atlanta police officers rushed to 3000 Continental Colony Pkwy SW following reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was found conscious and breathing and was quickly taken to the hospital in stable condition.
According to initial findings, the victim had been walking home when he encountered a group of individuals near the front of the apartment complex. Suddenly, gunshots rang out, and he realized he had been hit. The wounded victim was able to make it to his apartment where he dialed 911 for help.
Despite a search by responding units, authorities have not yet established a crime scene. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
The motive behind the shooting and the identities of those involved remain unknown at this time. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
