Fatal Shooting in Woodbury Liquor Store Parking Lot, GBI Investigating
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has launched an investigation into the death of 22-year-old Jaylen Jamal McGruder of Pine Mountain, Georgia, at the request of the Woodbury Police Department.
Preliminary findings suggest that at approximately 9:40 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a shooting in a parking lot behind a liquor store on Highway 85 in Woodbury. Witnesses reported a confrontation escalating into gunfire involving multiple individuals, resulting in McGruder sustaining fatal injuries.
McGruder was transported by ambulance to a local hospital in Thomaston, where he succumbed to his wounds.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
