Atlanta Police Respond to Shooting in Polar Rock Area, Female Suspect Detained

On the early morning of March 28, 2024, at approximately 12:43 am, Atlanta Police officers rushed to 2274 Polar Rock Ter SW in response to reports of a person shot.

Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. Grady EMS arrived and transported the injured male to the hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

A female suspect was apprehended at the scene by the responding officers and taken into custody for questioning.

Preliminary investigations suggest that both the male victim and the female suspect had been consuming alcohol and narcotics before a dispute escalated between them. During the altercation, the female suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim.

Following the incident, investigators secured a search warrant for the residence, leading to the discovery of shell casings and narcotics.

The female suspect is currently in police custody with charges pending against her as the investigation into the shooting continues.
