Man Arrested After Motel 6 Shooting Incident in Macon

Investigators have arrested 32-year-old Cody Aaron Stephenson in connection with an aggravated assault incident at Motel 6.

The altercation led to Stephenson retrieving a firearm and firing shots through the door and window of a room. Stephenson faces charges of reckless conduct and two counts of aggravated assault. He is currently held without bond at the Bibb County jail.

The incident occurred on March 29, 2024, at 105 Riverside Parkway in Macon around 3:00 p.m. The victims, aged 25 and 40, sustained gunshot wounds but are in stable condition after receiving medical treatment at Atrium Health Navicent.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the matter.
