Possible Negligent Discharge Leaves Man Wounded in Dixie Hills Area Shooting

Atlanta Police responded to a shooting incident in the Dixie Hills area on Monday, March 25, 2024, at approximately 5:51 p.m. Officers were dispatched to 2087 Morehouse Dr. NW following a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival, they found a 36-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was conscious and breathing and was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. Initial findings suggest that the victim was shot in the vicinity of 1976 Tiger Flowers Dr. NW, possibly due to a negligent discharge by a known suspect.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit have been called to the scene to probe further into the circumstances of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
