Habersham County Woman Arrested Following Major Drug Investigation
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has apprehended and charged Celia Savage, aged 34, of Habersham County, GA, after a comprehensive drug investigation conducted jointly by the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the GBI Special Enforcement Team.
Savage faces multiple charges including possession with intent to distribute various drugs such as marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, Xanax, Lortab, Tramadol, amphetamine, Clonazepam, oxycodone, psilocybin, and THC concentrates. Additionally, she faces charges for possessing firearms as a convicted felon and during the commission of a crime.
On Friday, March 8, 2024, law enforcement executed search warrants at two residences in Cornelia, Habersham County, GA, as part of the ongoing investigation. During the operation, authorities seized a significant quantity of drugs including marijuana, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and psilocybin, along with various pills and firearms.
Savage is currently detained at the Habersham County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
The investigation, which involved multiple agencies, aimed to disrupt street-level drug distribution in Habersham County and enhance community safety.
