Teenager Fatally Shot in Columbus

Columbus Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Springhill Suites on Whittlesey Blvd early Sunday morning (March 24th). Upon arrival at 4:00 a.m., officers found 16-year-old Dennie Henderson deceased at the scene. Efforts by EMS to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison pronounced Henderson dead at 4:54 a.m., attributing his death to apparent gunshot wounds. The Violent Crimes Unit has been called in to investigate the incident.
