Man Shot in Groin Near I-20 Westbound Ramp SW: Investigation Underway

On March 22nd, 2024, at around 12:53 PM, police officers were called to the area near the I-20 Westbound Ramp SW and Pryor Street SW after reports of a person being shot.

Upon reaching the scene, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his groin. The man was unconscious but breathing, and he was taken to the hospital for medical care.

It’s reported that the suspect had already fled the scene before the arrival of the officers.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit are now working to understand what led to the shooting. As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
