Warrant for Murder Issued for Suspect Identified in Fort Benning Road Shooting Case

On March 22, 2024, warrants were issued for Terrell Thomas, 20, in connection with a murder and armed robbery case.

The incident took place on January 8, 2024, at 6:05 p.m., when Columbus Police responded to a shooting report in the 2300 block of Fort Benning Road.

The victim, William Brown, 39, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Violent Crimes Unit took the lead on the investigation.
