Warner Robins Police Investigate Shooting of Pedestrian on Oak Grove Road
On March 18, 2024, at approximately 7:30 pm, Warner Robins Police patrol units rushed to the 100 block of Oak Grove Road in response to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who recounted the incident.
The victim reported that while walking in the area, he noticed three black male juveniles whom he initially believed to be shooting pellet guns. Shortly thereafter, the victim felt a sudden pain in his left leg, realizing he had been shot. He quickly fled the immediate area and dialed 911 upon reaching a safe location, where he also sought assistance from a bystander.
Emergency medical services from Houston Healthcare responded to the scene and administered treatment to the victim before transporting him to Navicent-Atrium for further care. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his left calf.
The Warner Robins Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident.
