Teen Driver Caught Speeding in School Zone with Passenger Extending Out of Window

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies have reported an alarming incident involving a Chevy pickup truck in their recent observations.

According to the report, deputies witnessed the driver of the truck operating the vehicle at a high rate of speed along Shurling Drive. What’s more concerning is that the driver, a 15-year-old, was seen using the center turn lane to overtake other vehicles in a school zone during school hours.

Adding to the danger, the passenger of the vehicle was observed extending out of the right-side window while the vehicle was in motion.

Taking immediate action, deputies stopped the Chevrolet after the teenager drove through the parking lot of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. It was further revealed that the teenager was driving under a permit license. The teen was taken into custody.
