On Monday, March 18, Prince James was apprehended in DeKalb County with the assistance of the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit and the US Marshals Office. James, aged 19 and hailing from Snellville, was taken into custody and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail around 5:00 p.m.

The charges against James include Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Felonies, Theft by Deception, and two gang-related charges. He is currently being held without bond.

Another suspect in the case, Anwar Singleton, remains detained at the Gwinnett County Jail. Singleton, aged 18 and from Loganville, faces charges including Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Felonies, and eight additional gang-related charges.

The investigation stems from an incident on June 16, 2023, when the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a shooting that resulted in the death of Brian Arnold-Causey, aged 19 and also from Snellville. Arnold-Causey was dropped off at Gwinnett County Fire Station 6 with gunshot wounds, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Anwar Singleton was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on October 28, 2023, while Prince James had remained at large until his recent arrest.
