Dunwoody Police Capture Suspect Wanted for Sexual Assaults Near Perimeter Mall
The Dunwoody Police Department has announced the capture of 20-year-old Darin Pyatt, wanted for sexual assault. Pyatt is believed to be responsible for four sexual assaults in the Perimeter area, particularly around the Dunwoody Perimeter Mall, occurring between June 29, 2023, and February 27, 2024. Detective R. Ehlbeck, the lead investigator on the case, issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert on March 4th.
In three of the incidents, Pyatt allegedly groped women as they were walking, while another victim was assaulted while sitting down. The victims’ ages range from their mid-20s to early 50s, and the assaults occurred in public places, including Perimeter Mall and a parking deck behind the mall. Surveillance footage from the mall helped authorities identify Pyatt as the suspect in these incidents.
Following tips received from the public, officers arrested Pyatt on March 5th. He currently faces charges of criminal trespass and sexual assault, as per jail records.
