Fatal Crash in Peachtree Corners Claims Lives of Four, Including Child
The Accident Investigation Unit has concluded its initial investigation into a fatal crash that occurred yesterday afternoon, revealing grim details of the incident. The collision, involving two vehicles, was reported to the 911 Center at 3:57 p.m. on Elmside Village Lane.
A dark blue BMW, driven by Armas Harding, 46, of Brookhaven, was making a left turn onto Peachtree Corners Circle northbound from the eastbound lane. At the same time, a yellow Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 30-year-old individual, was traveling southbound on Peachtree Corners Circle.
The BMW entered the intersection and was struck on the driver’s side door by the oncoming Camaro. The impact proved fatal for both occupants of the BMW, identified as Armas Harding and Laura Rueda, also 46 and from Brookhaven.
The driver of the Camaro and the front-seat passenger sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a local hospital. Additionally, two children in the Camaro, aged 5 and 6, suffered severe injuries and were taken to Scottish Rite Hospital. Sadly, one of the children, identified as Aura Camarono, 5, passed away at the hospital, while the other child continues to receive medical care.
Both vehicles have been impounded to the Gwinnett County Police Headquarters as investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
