Juvenile Suspect Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Crash in Fayette County

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Patrol Unit received a notification this afternoon (March 11th) to be on the lookout for a stolen vehicle potentially involved in a carjacking in Dekalb County. Upon locating the vehicle, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver chose to flee. The ensuing pursuit led through a residential neighborhood and ended when the suspect crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Rahma Road and Redwine Road.

The juvenile suspect, armed with a gun, exited the stolen vehicle but surrendered quickly as deputies approached. He was taken into custody, with the incident now under investigation by the Dekalb County Police Department.
