Three Juveniles Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Linked to Shooting in Gwinnett County
Gwinnett County Police have arrested three juveniles who were found in a stolen vehicle involved in a shooting just hours earlier.
On February 17, shortly after midnight, officers from the South precinct, aided by Flock cameras, located a green Kia Soul reported stolen hours earlier and linked to a shooting.
When officers approached the stolen vehicle near Cherokee Cove and Annistown Road, it accelerated into the officer’s patrol vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle and attempted to use the PIT maneuver to safely stop it. The three occupants, identified as juveniles aged 14, 15, and 16, were apprehended without injury.
Detectives responded to the call and launched an investigation. All three juveniles face charges of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle, Felony Fleeing and Eluding, and Aggravated Assault. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
