Woman Arrested for Attempted Child Kidnapping at High Falls State Park
Monroe County Deputies arrested a woman on February 27, 2024, for attempting to kidnap a child at High Falls State Park. The incident occurred on February 19 when a mother and her friend reported a stranger trying to take the woman’s young daughter. The women managed to retrieve the child after a struggle, and the suspect fled in a gray Honda CRV.
Law enforcement received a photo of the vehicle from one of the women involved. Deputies conducted interviews with park attendees and reviewed surveillance footage from Fall View Market to gather information. The suspect’s Honda CRV was located the next day.
Kara Grace Christopher was arrested and charged with kidnapping.
The investigation is ongoing.
