Young Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Avondale Mill Road in Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic accident that occurred in the vicinity of the 2800 block of Avondale Mill Road. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 2:13 a.m. on Saturday morning.

According to authorities, the driver of a green Ford F250 lost control of the vehicle while traveling along Avondale Mill Road, causing it to veer off the roadway and overturn. The driver, identified as a twenty-five-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Deputies who responded to the incident confirmed the driver’s death upon arrival. Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Ryan James Sanders of Florida.
