Atlanta Man Shot While Walking on Peachtree Street NE

On February 23, 2024, at around 7:59 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers were dispatched to 355 Peachtree St. NE following reports of a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers found a 52-year-old man who had been wounded by a gunshot.

The victim, who remained conscious and breathing, was quickly attended to and then transported to the hospital via ambulance. According to preliminary findings, the man was walking near the aforementioned location when he was struck by gunfire.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit arrived at the scene to piece together the events leading to the shooting.
