17-Year-Old Teen Dies in Gwinnett Shooting, Investigation Underway

Gwinnett Police Detectives are currently investigating the death of a 17-year-old teenager following an overnight shooting.

The incident occurred on Saturday, January 27, when officers responded to a report of a shooting victim arriving at Northside Hospital Duluth just after 2:00 a.m. Upon investigation, it was determined that the shooting took place in the parking lot of 4500 Satellite Blvd. in unincorporated Duluth. At the time, the victim, identified as Elbert “Josh” Brown of Snellville, was in critical condition.

Tragically, on Sunday, January 28, authorities were informed that the victim had succumbed to his injuries. As of now, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and no suspect has been apprehended. Homicide detectives are actively working on the case.
