Body of Missing Lawrenceville Man Found in Truck, Gwinnett Police Investigating Homicide

The Gwinnett Police Department is investigating a homicide after the body of Guadalupe Garcia Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Lawrenceville man, was found in his truck. At approximately 12:30 am on July 3, officers responded to the 200 block of Paden Cove Trail in Lawrenceville , GA, to check on a parked truck. Inside, they discovered Rodriguez’s body.

Rodriguez had been reported missing by his wife on July 1. She told officers that Rodriguez never came home that afternoon and was last seen leaving in the truck that day. The vehicle was a white 2015 Ford F-150, which was found with the driver’s side door slightly open.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation. The motive for the incident is currently unknown. Detectives are working to piece together Rodriguez’s last known movements and are reviewing any available surveillance footage from the area.
