Four Teenagers Arrested in Connection to Lakeland Homicide
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested four teenagers from Lakeland, Georgia, in connection to the homicide of Timothy Hunt. Tommy Manning, 17, J’mari Gates, 16, Keamon Grant, 16, and Kavion Brown, 16, face multiple charges related to the incident.
Manning, Gates, and Grant are charged with four counts of Party to the Crime of Murder, four counts of Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault, Party to the Crime of Armed Robbery, and Violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Brown faces charges of Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault, Party to the Crime of Armed Robbery, and Violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Following their arrest, all four were booked at the Lanier County Sheriff’s Office. Manning is held at the Coffee County Jail, Gates at the Savannah Youth Detention Center, and Grant and Brown at the Waycross Youth Detention Center.
The GBI expressed gratitude to the Lakeland Police Department, Lanier County Sheriff’s Office, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, and Georgia State Patrol for their assistance in the investigation.
The original incident occurred on Sunday, June 2, 2024, when 27-year-old Timothy Hunt of Naylor, Georgia, was fatally shot at a residence on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Lakeland, Lanier County, Georgia.
