Atlanta Police Seek Shooter After Street Encounter Turns Violent

In the early hours of Friday, May 10, 2024, at approximately 3:34 am, Atlanta Police officers were called to respond to a shooting incident near the River of Life Christian Center, situated at 3445 Martin Luther King Jr Dr. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment by Grady EMS.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was walking in the vicinity when he was approached and shot by a shirtless male suspect with dreadlocks, wearing tan shorts. The suspect then fled the area on foot.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
