Traffic Stop in Crisp County Leads to Drug Charges for Three Individuals from South Carolina
On May 6, 2024, at approximately 12:40 A.M., a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on a silver Honda Accord along GA 401/I75 near exit 99 for failure to maintain lane. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy observed the driver engaging in suspicious activity inside the car. Following a request for consent to search, the driver complied.
During the search, law enforcement officials discovered a bag containing suspected methamphetamine, another bag containing suspected cocaine, U.S. currency of various denominations, a digital scale, and numerous clear empty plastic bags inside the vehicle.
As a result of the findings, Brett Wilson, a 36-year-old male from West Minster, South Carolina, faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine. Additionally, Marcus Whitner, a 38-year-old male from West Minster, South Carolina, also faces similar charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine. Crystal Wilson, a 33-year-old female from West Minster, South Carolina, has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine.
