20-Year-Old Charged with Machine Gun Possession and Gang Offenses in Macon 5-Victim Shooting

MACON, Ga. — A 20-year-old man faces gang, assault, and automatic weapon charges following a Wednesday night shooting at a Macon intersection that left five young men injured, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Treyvon Antwan Deshazier, 20, was taken into custody on Friday morning, September 25, 2026, in connection with the September 23 gunfire at the intersection of Anthony Road and Mercer University Drive. He is being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

ShotSpotter Alert and Five Victims Wounded

The incident began at 8:53 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, when the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a ShotSpotter alert alongside multiple reports of shots fired near the intersection. Responding deputies arrived to secure the scene and initiate an investigation.

Shortly after the gunfire, five male victims arrived at local medical facilities in personal vehicles seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Sheriff’s officials identified the victims as a 23-year-old male, a 24-year-old male, and three 18-year-old males. Medical staff reported that all five victims were treated for their injuries and listed in stable condition.

Machine Gun and Gang Conduct Charges

Investigating deputies subsequently identified Deshazier as one of the suspects involved in the shooting. Patrol deputies arrested Deshazier on an outstanding warrant Friday morning and transported him to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning before transferring him to the county jail.

Deshazier was booked on charges of four counts of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Gang Conduct, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Machine Gun.
