26-Year-Old Killed in Two-Vehicle Forrest Hill Road Crash in Macon

MACON, Ga. — A 26-year-old man died following a two-vehicle crash on Forrest Hill Road that investigators believe may have been triggered by a medical emergency, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced.

The collision occurred in the 700 block of Forrest Hill Road and was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at approximately 6:10 p.m. Responding deputies located a crash involving a black KIA Sorrento and a beige Lexus ES330.

Loss of Control Leads to Two-Vehicle Collision

According to witness statements provided to investigators, the beige Lexus was traveling north on Forrest Hill Road when the vehicle pulled into the center turn lane. The driver subsequently lost control of the vehicle, sliding sideways directly into the path of the southbound KIA.

Sheriff’s Office investigators believe the driver of the Lexus may have experienced a medical emergency immediately prior to the loss of control and collision.

Hospital Transport and Active Investigation

Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the drivers of both vehicles to a local hospital. The driver of the KIA was evaluated and listed in stable condition.

The driver of the Lexus, identified as 26-year-old Andrew Wilson, was pronounced deceased by hospital staff following arrival. Sheriff’s officials confirmed that Wilson’s next of kin have been notified.
