Two Men Seriously Injured in Dublin Shooting, GBI Takes Over Investigation
DUBLIN, Ga. – Two men were hospitalized with serious injuries following a shooting Saturday afternoon at Vinson Village in Dublin, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Dublin Police officers responded to the 500 block of Vinson Village at approximately 4:54 p.m. on Aug. 22 after receiving a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to regional hospitals for treatment.
Authorities said one of the men remains in serious but stable condition, while the second victim remains in serious condition.
The identities and ages of the two victims have not been released.
The Dublin Police Department requested assistance from the GBI, which is now investigating the shooting.
Authorities have not released information about what led to the gunfire, whether investigators have identified a suspect or suspects, or whether any arrests have been made.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
