GBI CyberTip Leads to Arrest of 52-Year-Old Carrollton Man on Child Exploitation Charges

CARROLLTON, Ga. — A 52-year-old Carrollton man remains behind bars following his arrest on child sexual exploitation charges sparked by a state law enforcement tip, local authorities announced Friday.

52-year-old Alfred Lee Alloway was arrested on July 23, 2026, by detectives with the Carrollton Police Department. He faces two counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children and is currently incarcerated in the Carroll County Jail. Bond was denied.

GBI CyberTip Triggers Rapid Investigation

The investigation was initiated on July 22, 2026, after the Carrollton Police Department received a CyberTip from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) indicating that an individual within the City of Carrollton was suspected of possessing material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

An Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) trained detective immediately launched an inquiry into the tip. The following day, detectives arrested Alloway and seized multiple digital devices from the location. Certified digital forensics examiners are currently analyzing the electronic equipment in the department’s Digital Forensics Lab.

Authorities noted that the investigation remains active and additional charges are possible depending on the outcome of the forensic examination.
