Troup County Father Arrested After Infant Found With Multiple Fractures and Internal Injuries

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. A 27-year-old father has been arrested after investigators determined an infant suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries that medical staff believe were caused by intentional abuse, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began on Aug. 4 when investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division were contacted by staff at an Atlanta-area children’s hospital regarding an infant receiving treatment for severe injuries.

Medical personnel told investigators the child had multiple broken bones and internal injuries that were consistent with intentional abuse rather than an accidental injury.

Detectives traveled to the hospital to meet with the medical team before determining the injuries had occurred at a residence in Troup County.

Investigators then located the child’s parents, who were not at the hospital with the infant at the time.

Following interviews with both parents, detectives arrested the child’s father, 27-year-old Jordan Bragg.

Bragg was transported to the Troup County Jail and charged with aggravated battery, first-degree cruelty to children and second-degree cruelty to children.

The condition of the infant has not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
