Two Critically Injured in Overnight Crash on Rocky Creek Road in Bibb County
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — Two people suffered critical injuries in an overnight two-vehicle crash on Rocky Creek Road, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Patrol deputies responded to the collision, which involved a red Kia Soul and a gray Toyota Prius.
Investigators said the Kia Soul was traveling west on Rocky Creek Road with a driver and two passengers. The Toyota Prius was traveling east with a driver and one passenger.
According to the preliminary investigation, the driver of the Prius attempted to make a left turn onto Bethesda Avenue when the vehicle collided with the oncoming Kia Soul.
Following the impact, the Kia Soul caught fire.
The Macon-Bibb Fire Department and emergency medical personnel responded to extinguish the fire and provide medical assistance.
All five people involved in the crash were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities said two of the victims are listed in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
