Macon Man Shot While Sitting in Vehicle on Williamson Road

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault after a man was shot while sitting inside a vehicle Tuesday night.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Williamson Road shortly after 8:33 p.m. on June 16, 2026, following reports of a person being shot.

When deputies arrived, they located a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, the victim was inside a vehicle when the shooting occurred.

Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.

Medical personnel reported that the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, and he remains in stable condition.

Investigators have not released information regarding a suspect or a possible motive.

The incident remains under investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
